About the role

Position: Traffic Control Excellence
Location: Oslo or Gothenburg
Reports to: Chief Planning Officer, Connect Bus Group

The position of Traffic Control Excellence plays a key role in developing and harmonizing the operational control processes across Connect Bus Group. You will take ownership of how traffic control is organized, ensuring that routines, work methods and system usage are aligned and efficient across all operations.

You will become part of a small and dedicated team of planning specialists whose primary duties include leading the development of the Connect Bus Operative Model and the Connect Bus Group operational planning process, as well as streamlining way of work and spreading best practices across Country Planning Departments and Operations in Sweden and Norway.

This is both an analytical and practical role. You will work closely with local Traffic Control Centers and Country Planning Departments to identify improvement areas, drive standardization of workflows and ensure that operations are managed through well-functioning tools and data.

Main responsibilities

• Develop and maintain group wide standards, procedures and best practices for traffic control.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance and reduce day to day deviations.
  • Ensure alignment between planning and real time operations.
  • Lead implementation and optimization of operational modules in planning systems such as HASTUS, IVU or similar.
  • Define system requirements and specifications for future developments and integrations.
  • Promote knowledge sharing, documentation and training to strengthen local Traffic Control Center performance.

Candidate profile

Experience and skills

• Solid understanding of traffic control operations in public transport.
• Experience in process development, standardization and documentation of operational procedures.
• Strong experience with operational modules in HASTUS, IVU or equivalent planning systems.
• Additional experience with related systems such as incident management, charging management systems, vehicle tracking or dispatching such as Hogia OCS or Consat Traffic Studio, is an advantage.
• Ability to translate operational needs into structured processes and digital solutions.
